Who is Sonata for ?
Sonata is used for the short-term treatment
(7 to 10 days) of insomnia (difficulty falling asleep). |

When should I be careful taking Sonata ?
Before taking Sonata,
- Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are
allergic to Zaleplon or any other medications.
- Tell your doctor and pharmacist what
prescription and nonprescription medications and herbal products
you are taking.
- Tell your doctor if you have ever had an
addiction to alcohol or any other drugs.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan
on becoming pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become
pregnant while taking Sonata, call your doctor.
- Tell your doctor if you have ever had
depression or liver problems.

Sonata Side Effects
Although side effects from Sonata are not
common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms
are severe or do not go away:
- Next day drowsiness (generally not likely
but can occur in some patients)
- Dizziness
- Lightheadedness
- Difficulty with coordination
- Stomach pain
- Muscle weakness
- Headache
- Nausea
