SINGULAIR

Singulair Ingredients: Montelukast
Representative Names: Singulair
Generic Available ? No

Who is Singulair for ?

Montelukast is used to prevent asthma symptoms. this medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

How does it work ?

Montelukast blocks a chemical called leukotriene, which contributes to asthma symptoms such as airway swelling and tightening. Leukotrienes are chemical compounds in the body that are released during the inflammatory process and cause inflammation, fluid retention, mucous secretion, and constriction in your lungs. Montelukast blocks the action and production of leukotrienes, and subsequently inhibits the inflammatory process to improve airflow in the lungs.
