Who is Relenza for ?
Relenza is used to treat adults and children
> 12 years of age who suffer from the influenza virus (the common
flu) and have been symptomatic for no more than two days. |

When should I be careful taking Relenza ?
Before taking Relenza,
- tell your doctor what prescription and
nonprescription medications you are taking
- tell your doctor if you have an underlying
respiratory disease (such as asthma or emphysema). Keep a fast-acting
inhaled bronchodilator (like albuterol or Proventil) available
while using Relenza. Contact your doctor immediately if you
experience worsening of your breathing symptoms.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan
to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

Relenza Side Effects
Although side effects with Relenza are not
common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if these symptoms are
severe or do not go away.
- Headaches
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Nasal signs & symptoms
- Bronchitis (inflammation of the air
passages in the lungs)
- Cough
- Sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses)
- Ear, nose, & throat infections
- Dizziness
