When should I be careful
taking Benzaclin ?
Before using clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide
gel,
- tell your doctor and pharmacist if you
are allergic to benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, lincomycin, or
any other drugs.
- tell your doctor if you are pregnant,
plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become
pregnant while using clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide gel, call
your doctor.
- tell your doctor if you have or have ever
had gastrointestinal disease.
- tell your doctor if you are currently
using any other medications for treating acne, including any
over-the-counter products and any products containing
erythromycin.

Benzaclin Side Effects
Although side effects from clindamycin and
benzoyl peroxide gel are not common, they can occur. Tell your
doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
- dryness or peeling of skin
- itching
- redness of the skin
- sunburn
If you experience any of the following
symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
- diarrhea
- severe burning sensation of the skin
- blistering of the skin
- severe itching
- rash
- swelling of the face, mouth, lips, or
throat
