ACCURETIC

Who is Accuretic for ?

Quinapril is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It decreases certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is a diuretic (water pill) that helps rid the body of excess fluid. This combination medication is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

If you also are taking c holestyramine or colestipol, take it at least 1 hour after quninpril/HCTZ.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had diabetes, gout, heart, liver, or kidney, thyroid, or parathyroid disease.
  • If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking quinapril/HCTZ.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking quninpril/HCTZ, call your doctor immediately.
